Health insurance is accepted. We are currently Accepting: Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna,
United Health Care.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel an appointment for any reason, the courtesy of 24-hour advance notice is requested. Missed appointments without notice will be charged $100.00 for the visit.

Payment Methods

Payment is due at the time of service. For your convenience, payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card.

Confidentiality

Patient confidentiality will be strictly maintained at all times as required by law.

Tele-Medicine:

Phone or Video Consultation within a HIPAA-secure platform. This is primarily for people who are seeking Herbal Medicine. Due to the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, consultation fees have been reduced to $40.00 per 30 minutes. Please call 347-878-9619 or email miriampineles@gmail.com to schedule your consultation.

Consultations: $40.00 per 30 minutes.
These are conducted on a HIPAA-secure video-chat software, and usually run between 25-60 minutes. The time depends on a patients’ symptoms and medical history. Symptoms are discussed, as well as relevant medical history, tongue and ear diagnosis are performed. Insurance coverage of Tele-Medicine is to be determined.

Custom Herbal Prescriptions: $30.00-$70.00 + tax & shipping.
Herbal remedies are made custom to your particular symptoms and constitution. Most patients take herbs for a minimum of 2 months, while others require on average between 5 and 9 months.

Office Visits:

 

Initial Consultation + Acupuncture Treatment: $250.00
This is a 2-hour visit that covers medical history, current symptoms, Chinese medicine assessment including pulse and tongue diagnosis, with an Acupuncture treatment.

 

Follow-Up Acupuncture Visits: $100.00
This visit is between 30 and 50 minutes and includes a consultation + Acupuncture treatment.

 

Initial Consultation- Herbs only: $150.00
This is a 1-hour visit that covers medical history, current symptoms, Chinese medicine assessment including pulse and tongue diagnosis, but no Acupuncture treatment.

 

Follow-up Herbal Consultation: $75.00
This is a 30-40min visit that includes a consultation with Pulse & Tongue Diagnosis.
